About Us – The Face Behind Arwen Web Design
Arwen Web Design was started by Gary Box in 2016 with the aim of helping individuals and small businesses with their web design and search engine optimisation efforts.
About Gary
In October 2016 I sold my travel business and was wondering what to do next. I decided to start two businesses, Arwen Web Design but also a pet services business called Northampton Dog Walker.
My interest in web design dates back to the late 1990’s. Initially I created my own personal websites and some for friends and relatives. I remember using tools like Pagemill, Microsoft Frontpage and then later Macromedia Dreamweaver (later purchased by Adobe). I then found WordPress which is what I’ve exclusively used since. I’ve used themes from the likes of StudioPress (Genesis), GeneratePress and most recently Kadence.
The need to rank my websites in Google led me to learn about search engine optimisation. I quickly found that I was fascinated by the topic. I’ve put my knowledge to good use on a few projects and would now like to help other small local businesses.
I live with my partner Ewelina and our Border Collie Archie. My main hobbies are photography and travel.
